This week in your Garden: Jobs and planting

  • With the rise in temperatures weeds are popping up everywhere. Stay ahead of the possey and keep weeding to keep them under control. A little weeding now will save a lot of bother later on.
  • As the temperarures have risen a nice bit watering will be needed. The best time to water is late evening as this suits plants best and is easier on you. Container grown plants dry out easily so be sure to give them plenty to drink.
  • Since the weather is so ideal get any outdoor painting jobs done i.e. those rain splash and dirty walls from the winter months.

Some of what you could plant this week:

  • Tomatoes, Beetroot, Peas, Cucumber, Peppers, Radishes, Carrots,
