Over two thirds prefer open viewings than booking appointments with estate agents

Over two thirds of people prefer to view properties at an open viewing rather than booking an appointment with an estate agent.

That’s according to a poll of over 100 people conducted by MyHome.ie as part of the relaunch of our Property On View guide.

We asked readers whether they preferred an open viewing. 67% said they did, 20% said they didn’t mind either way, while just 18% said they preferred to book an appointment.

The poll also found that 67% felt more relaxed at an open viewing. 18% said they felt no different while 15% said they didn’t feel more relaxed at an open viewing.

Meanwhile, a massive 91% said they would like to see a wider range of properties being made available for viewing, while a further 32% said they had previously bought or know someone who had bought having attended an open viewing.
