NAMA chairman insists agency has good communication with government

NAMA chairman Frank Daly

National Assets Management Agency chairman Frank Daly has rejected claims that there is a lack of communication between the government and NAMA.

Speaking on RTÉ Radio today, Mr Daly hit back at suggestions from economic consultant Peter Bacon that the government was “afraid to tackle” NAMA.

He said: “The model that NAMA has to go on is the model that the Oireachtas set up and as a result we have a lot of interaction on a regular basis with the government.

“We have regular meetings with the Minister for Finance – twice a month perhaps,” said Mr Daly.
