Allsop Space said it posted new record sales figures of €38.5m at a property auction in the RDS yesterday.
In total, 131 properties were sold. Five of the sold properties had reserves of more than €1m. Pre-auction sales amounted to more than €6m.
“We knew that today’s figures would be strong, with a lot of pre-auction interest,” said auction director Robert Hoban. “We were still very encouraged by the strength of interest coming from Irish bidders who dominated the market today.
“Interest wasn’t limited to Irish based buyers, when we had four telephone bidders for a commercial property in Mallow with bids coming from New York, London and two from Cork. After a four- waybattle the London caller, with ties to Mallow, emerged as the successful bidder. “
