Shortlist for Irish Architectural Award Announced

Today the Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland (RIAI) announced the shortlist of Architects who will be competing for an Irish Architectural Award next Monday night June 22nd at Farmleigh House.

Out of a total of 223 projects that were submitted for an Irish Architectural Award this year only 35 made the final line up. The 35 shortlisted architects … are competing in various architectural categories and will battle it out on the night for an RIAI award.

This years RIAI jury is chaired by Greg Tisdall and includes James Howley, Des McMahon, Mark Turpin, Martin Henchion and Pat Ruane.

    The new lighthouse cinema is really spectacular. Has elements of an art gallery and each of the four theatres is unique. Definitely deserves and award (for the interior anyway)

    That’s very cool. Those stairs are cracking! If James Howley (or any of those architects for that matter) wants to practice his architectural skills on my home, I wouldn’t complain!
