Top chef Corrigan pulls out of buying Woodstown House

TOP chef Richard Corrigan has pulled out of buying Woodstown House, outside Waterford.

The Michelin-star chef, who made his name with his restaurants in London, such as Lindsay House in Soho, Bentley’s in Piccadilly and Corrigan’s of Mayfair – was reported to have been very interested in buying the property, where Jacqueline Kennedy and her children stayed in the summer of 1967.

However, a right-of-way issue scuppered plans to purchase from estate agents Knight Frank and instead he is looking at other properties in the area.

“A big right-of-way issue has come up,” he said when asked about the property, “but, we are still looking for a similar place nearby.”

Woodstown House is a six bed Regency Style Villa that comes with five apartments to its rear.
