938,000 households have now paid the household charge or registered for a waiver, according to new figures from the Local Government Management Services Board.
The figures mean that just under 1,000 households a day are continuing to register for the charge despite the March 31st deadline having elapsed.
817,609 households have registered online or been “processed by bureau”, according to the LGMSB.
There are also 98,000 postal applications “on hand”.
15,500 properties have registered for a waiver.
