Anthony Cleary of Anthony Cleary Design
Anthony Cleary is an award-winning industrial designer with over 20 years experience in the field of lighting and product design. A graduate of the National College of Art and Design in Dublin, he has worked on a wide variety of collaborative and solo projects and is co-founder of the Irish Design Company UNLEADED.
Anthony provides consultancy, project management and flexible product solutions from one-off pieces to larger scale batch production. His focus is always on innovation, quality and functionality.
Cillian O Suilleabhain of Cillian O Suilleabhain Furniture
Cillian O Suilleabhain is a furniture designer based in Co Carlow. A qualified engineer, Cillian’s distinctive style is strongly influenced by his technical background. Made from a variety of hardwoods and utilising a natural oil finish, his hand-made furniture marries traditional hand-tooling methods to innovative and intuitive contemporary design.
Established in 2011, Cillian O’Suilleabhain Furniture offers a fully collaborative commissioning service as well as an original range of bespoke designs. Cillian’s aim is to design and make notable furniture that remains both practical and unique.
Tim Dunleavy of Dunleavy Bespoke
Award winning furniture company, Dunleavy Bespoke, specialise in the design and manufacture of contemporary handcrafted furniture, made to commission.
Brothers, Tim and Seán Dunleavy work together from their workshop and design studio in County Kildare.
Their timeless pieces can be enjoyed by both the client and future generations.
Ben Gabriel of Gabriel Furniture
Ben Gabriel originally from Holland, now based in South Galway since 1996, designs and makes his geometric furniture.
Gabriel Furniture is a family business. Ben together with his son Joshua specialise in contemporary designs for one off pieces and batch production for private and corporate clients.
Pat Casserly of Patrick Casserly Design
Patrick uses mixed materials to produce quality pieces of contemporary furniture and lighting.
Patrick set up his company in 2002 upon his return to Ireland having studied cabinetmaking in the UK.
Since then he has been designing and making a wide range of handcrafted furniture and lighting at his workshops in Westmeath.
Shane Holland of Shane Holland Design Workshops
Shane Holland Design Workshops are designers and makers of custom solultions in lighting, furniture & sculptural elements in mixed media.
The philosophy of the company is to produce dynamic objects of functionality and elegance which are built to last.
Hollands’ award winning studio have products available online such as Ruray and The Arthur Floorlamp recently chosen by Grand Designs Magazine as one of 5 top design products in 2012.
Shane Tubrid of Shane Tubrid Furniture by Design
Shane Tubrid uses a variety of traditional skills and cabinet making techniques to create complex shapes and curves, providing an imaginative, enthusiastic design and make service creating bespoke pieces of furniture which can be expected to last for many generations.
Based in Fethard on Sea Co Wexford Shane is a graduate of Letterfrack furniture college.
Stephen O Briain of Stephen O Briain Furniture
Sensuous hand planed curves, simplified lines and meticulously detailed joints are some of the features that distinguish Stephen O Briain’s furniture.
Underlying the strikingly beautiful simplicity of all Stephen’s work is a mastery of the complexities of good design and a genuine love of his materials.
Mark Hanvey of Mark Hanvey Woodturner and Furniture Maker

Mark Hanvey is a wood-turner and furniture maker based in Newtownards, Co Down. He works to commission and also produces work in batch runs.
Working mainly in timber solids but also with veneer to make work of the highest quality, which will be enjoyed for years to come. As a designer maker his work has won many awards and is included in both public and private collections here and around the world.
His strong interest in design and material is very evident in all of his work.
Noel Whelan of Noel Whelan Furniture Design
Noel is one of Ireland’s top furniture designers making domestic and corporate furniture such as boardroom tables, executive office furniture and reception desks for businesses all over Ireland. All the furniture is especially designed for clients and handmade in Noel’s workshop in Dunhill, Co Waterford.
Apart from corporate commissions Noel also produces wine racks, tallboys and chests, for the private market crafted with a variety of woods for a richness of colour and texture. As these unique pieces often incorporate natural materials such as stone, metal and glass to provide a piece of authentic craftsmanship that will stand the test of time.
