New patio landscaping in Cabinteely

BEFORE: Early stage of the construction of House Extension

BEFORE: View from patio area of large mature garden area

As planned, by the time we have arrived on-site to commence construction of the raised sandstone patio and lawn areas, construction works on house extension have been completed. Ahead of us on this occasion, is the construction of an inter-connecting raised patio and lawn area, which because of the quite strong sloping aspect to the site will necessitate the construction of perimeter retaining walls.  Fortunately we can use much of the surplus rubble and general debris from the earlier house extension works.

Once the area was marked out, we set to task of excavating the foundation trenches, pouring the concrete and once set, we were able to get started with constructing the outer blockwork walls.

An interesting semi-circular raised patio area which will incorporate planting beds, integrated steps which lead to an inter-connected circular lawn edged with sandstone setts.
